The Camden County Joint Development Authority will hold a regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 19 at the Camden County Annex Conference Room in Kingsland. The public is invited to attend.

St. Marys Elementary School will hold its school council meeting at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 19 in the media center conference room.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8385 of Kings Bay is sponsoring a lasagna dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 19 (or until sold out). The cost is $8 per plate for adults with a children's portion at $5 per plate. The meal includes lasagna, salad and garlic bread. The meal is open to the public and all proceeds will benefit the Third Annual Cancer Aid and Research Fund sponsored by the ladies auxiliary. Camden Woods Parkway off Highway 40 in Kingsland.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, Fort King George State Historic Site will be hosting its annual Scottish Heritage Day program. The cost will be from $3.50 to $5. There will be numerous demonstrations, including pioneer skills, artillery and musket drills, Scottish cooking, music and dance, crafts and domestic skills, Highland weapons, 18th century merchants, Native Americans and more. There will also be a battle reenactment at 2 p.m. Those interested may purchase a musket raffle ticket for $5. Everyone is invited to learn about and celebrate Darien's first settlers. The Fifth Annual Runabout in the Royal District Auto Show will be held on Saturday, March 20 in downtown Kingsland, featuring everything from vintage autos to modern-day muscle cars. There also will be free live entertainment, food and arts and crafts vendors, the annual Mayor and Council Lawnmower Race, a health fair and a Camden County High School Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest. The Ralph J. Bunche/Camden County Training School Alumni Association monthly meeting will be held at noon Saturday, March 20 at the Ralph J. Bunche Complex Building in Woodbine. All members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

The Humane Society of Camden County will hold a satellite adoption event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20 at Pet Supplies Plus. Humane Society Volunteer of the Year Candy Barrie will head up the event with several volunteers and adoptable dogs and cats. Everyone is invited.

Chick-fil-A of Kingsland will be celebrating "A Year With More Birthdays" from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 22. Everyone is invited to come out and help support the local American Cancer Society Relay For Life by helping to fund research for a cure.

The St. Marys Convention and Visitors Bureau Authority will hold its regular monthly meeting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23 in the city council chambers, located at 418 Osborne St.

In celebration of Easter this year, the Camden County Public Library will host a "Bunny Towel Craft" at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 in the community room of the library. Participants will make a cloth bunny using a dish towel. The class is free and open to the public. Adults and children are welcome but all children must be 12 years of age or older. Those interested can sign up for the class at the library or call (912) 729-3741.

The Camden County Public Service Authority Leisure Services Department is holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 27 at Kingsland Lions Park, located on South Grove Boulevard. Everyone should meet under the pavilion by the basketball court by 10 a.m. There will be prizes. The event is for children ages 10 and under and is free to the public.
