Terrie Marie Connelly-Donn
Terrie Marie Connelly-Donn
Terrie Marie Connelly-Donn, 58, of Yulee, Fla., has joined the angels in Heaven. She passed away from leukemia on Thursday morning, Feb. 20, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla.

Terrie was born in Savannah and was the eldest of three children born to William “Bill” Henry Connelly Jr. and the late Yvonne Bragg Connelly. She and her siblings were raised in Savannah and moved to Kingsland in the mid 1960s. She attended Camden County High School, where she was a member of the Class of 1974, and later attended Florida Junior College.

She married Mark Arthur Donn on June 7, 1975. They resided in Jacksonville until moving to Yulee in 1993. They enjoyed 38 wonderful years together and their love was truly unconditional.

Even though they never had children of their own, Terrie was Mom and Aunt Terrie to numerous children who were blessed to have known her.

Terrie never met a stranger. She loved helping people so much and loved spending time with her family as well as fishing every chance she got. She loved every animal and tried to help as many as she could. She also loved plants and her citrus trees. If you ever went to her house, you never left hungry. She made sure you were fed before you left and gave you a vitamin to boost, to make you feel better.

She loved life and, most importantly, she loved God and tried to live as He would have her live. She is truly going to be missed. We know she is walking with Jesus and is no longer in pain. She has left a void in all of our lives. One day we will join her in Heaven.

Her mother preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Mark A. Donn of Yulee; her father, William “Bill” Henry Connelly Jr. of Kingsland; sisters, Kimmie L. Oliver (David) of Jacksonville and Maggie Banks (Kenny); brothers, Henry Albert Connelly (Sheryl) of Hoboken and Ricky Culver of Kingsland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services for Terrie will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Yulee Baptist Church, with Pastor Doug Sides officiating.

The family will receive friends, following the service, at a reception in the fellowship hall.
