Jimmy was born on June 20, 1952, to the late Jimmy L. Pinkney Sr. and the late Norene Diane Butler Pinkney.
He lived a wonderful life as a skilled fisherman trained by his father. Besides his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Pinkney and sister, Gloria Pace.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Connie Pinkney. His love for his brothers and sisters, Spring Pinkney of Washington, Randy Pinkney Sr. and Dorothy Tammy Pinkney Thomas of New York City, Harold Lane Jr. of North Caorlina, and Jimmie L. Butler of Texas, made “Bubba” a happy man.
His children are Anthony Lemons of Arkansas, Christy Pinkney of Texas, Catrina Wilson Taylor and Ebony Pinkney of Texas, Jimiese Pinkney of Texas, Je’Meane Pinkney of Florida, Joshua Singleton of Georgia, Jekiese Pinkney of Georgia, Jimmy Pinkney III of Virginia, Jarvis Turrell of Florida and Marcus Manning of Florida; he also has a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews,

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the Kingsland North Center. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at the Sunset Chapel. Interment will be in Lawnwood Cemetery, Kingsland.
