Brian Richard Green was born on Jan. 8, 1972, in Peoria, Ill. He and his family relocated to Kingsland in August 2011.
Brian was a very devoted father and husband. His children meant the world to him and he cherished them deeply. He was very caring, kind, generous and had a beautiful, uplifting spirit. All who knew Brian also knew that he was a practical joker, and you could always look forward to his contagious humor and laughter.
Brian was preceded in death by one sister, his grandparents, an aunt, uncle, and his father.
He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted wife, Ondrea Green; two beautiful and special children, daughter Briana and son Breion, all of Kingsland; his mother, Hazel Brophy of Galesburg, Ill.; two brothers, David (Lacretia) Green of Kingsland and Avery Green of St. Marys; eight sisters, Sharla (Joseph) Range, Kelly Brohy, Karen Brophy, Kourtni Brophy and Kacie Brophy, all of Galesburg; Michelle Green of Peoria, Ill., Rebecca Anderson and Jessica Anderson of Hannibal, Mo.; aunts Helen Green of Quincy, Ill., and Wanta Hinton-Stafford of Memphis, Ark.; uncle, J.D. Richard Green Jr. of Decatur, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Sunset Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
