Braxton was born Jan. 8, 1999, in St. Marys to Casharra Berryhill and Rickey Sullivan.
Braxton was a friend to all and a stranger to none. He was destined for “greatness.” His heart and personality were wide as the ocean and as deep as the sea. He cared so much for people. He was always lending a helping hand to lift up others’ spirits. Braxton had a passion for life, but the true loves of his life were his grandmother, Deloris Sullivan, his mother, Casharra Berryhill and, most of all, football. He excelled in all sports and loved to compete.
Braxton was a faithful member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Leon Washington (who was also a mentor and friend). As a member, Braxton performed with the praise dance group and worked as a videographer. He graduated from Camden Middle School in May 2014, and would have been a freshman at Camden County High School in the fall.
Braxton leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Casharra Berryhill; brother, Logan Berryhill; father, Rickey Sullivan; grandparents, Lewis and Deloris Sullivan and James Berryhill; stepsisters, Alicia Sullivan Hall and Sonja Sullivan; stepbrothers, Corey Sullivan and Rickey Sullivan Jr.; aunts, Sherell “Brenda” Graham-Owens (Berma), Sylvia “Annette” Sullivan Williams (Richard), Cathy Owens, Sandra Sullivan, Jennie Jones and Kim Robinson (James); uncles, Charles Berryhill, John Berryhill (Nancy), Devin “Speedy” Berryhill, Lewis Sullivan III (Precious) and John Sullivan; and a host of cousins, relatives, friends and classmates.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1365 Kinlaw Road in Kingsland. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Sunset Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
