Frances “Frank” Koehler, 72, of Kingsland passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at his residence.

Born March 16, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Roland and Mary Clark Koehler. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Koehler.

Mr. Koehler had been a resident of Camden County since 2005, and retired in 2001 from his business, The Koehler Group. He gave to many charitable organizations and to individuals in need. He was a gentleman and a true lover of life, including being an avid golfer and lover of cats. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his wife, Ellyn Christina Koehler of Kingsland; son, Francis Roland Koehler Jr. (Susan) of Garnet Valley, Pa.; daughter, April Ellyn Sullivan (Patrick) of Woodbine; brother, Roland Koehler (Diane) of Sea Isle, N.J.; sister, Mary Bell (Al) of Ocean City, N.J.; grandchildren, Maggie Koehler, Max Koehler and Dean Koehler; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mr. Koehler’s Life was held at noon Tuesday, June 24, from Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys, with his son, Francis R. Koehler Jr. officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Koehler be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA),
