Alice was born on Sept. 15, 1938, in Rochester, N.Y., where she spent most of her natural life before moving to Camden County in 1991, to be her with her daughter. She worked at the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department as a recreational aid at the youth center, bowling center and fitness complex.
All knew her as Mom, Grandma, Nana, as Granny Grunt to one and as Speedy Gun Grandma to another. She has left a void in all of our lives and one day we will all be with her again.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Sedam (Dave) of Kingsland and Lisa Johnson (Dan) of Geneseo, N.Y.; son, Sean Dobbins (Lisa Judwick) of Spencerport, N.Y.; son-in-law, Robert Gardner of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, Bobby Gardner, Christopher Sedam (Kelly), Jennifer Jutton (Jason), Steven Dobbins (Nicole), Heather Dobbins (Chelsie), Amber and Alex Lennington; nine great-grandchildren; and special extended family, Aileen Conklin (Pat), Robyn Vedua, Cathy McDonald (Sean) and all their families.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Ann Gardner.
At her request, there will be no memorial services. The family requests memorial contributions in her memory be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
A private inurnment by the family will be held at a later date.
