Thomas “Tom” Albert Bradfield of St. Marys passed on Nov. 19, 2017, in Jacksonville, Fla., due to complications of pulmonary disease. He was 75 years old.
Tom was born on Jan. 28, 1942, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Albert and Beulah Bradfield. His marriage in 1962 to Patricia Ann Mackowiak ended in divorce in 1986. In 1995, he married Joddie Annette “Ann” Henning in Monroe, N.C.
He graduated from Maryvale High School in Cheektowaga, N.Y., in 1960 and received his Associate of Arts degree from Erie County Community College in chemistry. He had a successful career as a chemist and manufacturing executive. He coached softball and Little League baseball in Williamsville, N.Y. He enjoyed tennis, baseball, hunting, fishing, bird watching and playing cards with family members into the wee hours of the night. He resided in many places during his lifetime including Buffalo, Haughton, La., Corum, N.Y., Monroe and St. Marys.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; his children, Donna Englander-Factor (Michael Factor) of Folly Beach, S.C., and Alan Bradfield of Knoxville, Tenn. (Sheree); stepchildren, LeeAnn Lynette Prater of Nahunta and Dennis Lee Henning Jr. of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Casey Englander of Falls Church, Va., Hayden Bradfield of Knoxville, Kylie Englander of Columbia, S.C., and Haylee Bradfield of Aurora, Colo.; sister, Christine Crabtree of Murraysville, W.Va.; nephew, Gerard Alan (Doris Castro) of Crestline, Calif.; grandnephews, Branden and Jared Alan; and grandniece, Jasmine Alan.
He is predeceased in death by his father and mother.
He will be cremated and his ashes spread in Tennessee.
