Mrs. Jeanette Brazell, 86, passed away in the morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at her home in Kingsland.
Mrs. Brazell was born on Sept. 25, 1932, in Brantley County to the late Dan and Beary Parrott. She married Williams S. (Bill) Brazell in 1952 and they were married for 37 years until his passing in 1989.
Mrs. Brazell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She took pride and enjoyment in growing plants and flowers, even receiving the St. Marys Yard of the Week award on occasion. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a heart of gold.
She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in St. Marys.
Mrs. Brazell is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Fred) Combs of Folkston; her son, Danny (Sonya) Brazell of Kingsland; her sisters, Margie Drury and Rosa Ann Wright, both of St. Marys; her brothers, Donald Parrott of Waynesville and Marvin (Mary) Parrott of Atkinson; her grandchildren, Jill (Gary) Manley, Lori (Travis) Wills, Andrew (Meredith) Brazell, Jennifer Brazell, Josh Combs and Lori Combs; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Brazell was preceded in passing by her husband, William S. Brazell Sr.; her son, Billy Brazell; and her grandson, Rick Sirmon; and also her siblings, Shelva Jean Hannaford and Keith Parrott.
A graveside service for Mrs. Brazell was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Brazell-Peeples Cemetery in Kingsland with Pastor Jeffrey Brazell presiding.
Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland was entrusted with Mrs. Brazell’s arrangements.
