Jannie Veronica Brown, 51, of Woodbine passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1966, to Robert and Verdie Kight Mainor in Brunswick. Veronica, as she was known by her close family and friends, was educated in the public school system of Camden County and graduated in the class of 1985. She furthered her education in the ﬁeld of master cosmetology at South Georgia Technical College and became a licensed master cosmetologist and faithfully held that occupation for more than 20 years.
Veronica was a member of Carnegie Chapel in Kinlaw under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Broomﬁeld. In 1994 she was united in holy matrimony to William T. Brown Jr. and to this union two children were born, Myia and Madison Brown. Veronica was a very loving and caring person who touched many lives throughout the community and deep devotion to her family that will be cherished by everyone that knew her.

Brown Jr.; her loving and devoted children, Myia Brown (Tony Roberts Jr.), Madison Brown and Ayan (Lafayette) Curington; one grandchild, Zyien Curington; her loving and devoted mother, Verdie Kight-Mainor; her sisters, Linda (Carl) Walker and Flossie (Derrick) Dawson; sisters-in-law, Erica Wyman, Faith Wyman, Delicia Myers, Gloria (Calvin) Petterson and Bernice Pollock; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Yolanda) Kennedy and Allen (Berverly) Wyman; nephews, Derrick (Shannon) Dawson Jr. and Joshua (Jasmine) Dawson; nieces, Amir Lofton, Pilar Jones and Lauren Toussaint; great niece, Alexandria Dawson; her godmother,
