Cashonda Letrice Bryant, 38, of Kingsland passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017.
She was born in Olympia Fields, Ill., to Charles and Trish Dickens. Cashonda was a 1997 graduate of Thornton High School. After graduation, she pursued a career and love of education at the University of Illinois. She lived most of her life in Illinois before moving to Kingsland.
She was a sweet, loving wife, mother and strong black woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her children. She loved teaching in the classroom and out. Cashonda was a joy to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joshua.
Cashonda is survived by her husband, Marcus Bryant; five children, Kayla, Symone, Caleb, Sade and Syniyah; goddaughter, Kaytre’ll, and godsons, Aamir, Tyler and Jaden; father, Charles Dickens; mother, Trish Dickens; grandmothers, Johnnie Moore and Roberta Dickens; godparents, Johnathan and Fannie Davis; five brothers, Chuck, Steve, Jason, Jeremy and Ben; a sister, Kameron; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A celebration of Cashonda’s life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Christ Church Camden in Kingsland.
