Tony Christopher Burch, 47, of Kingsland passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at his residence.
He was born on June 26, 1970, to the late Betty Dawson-Burch and Lewis Burch Sr. in Folkston. Tony was educated in the Camden County public school system and graduated in the Class of 1988. He furthered his education by attending DeVry University majoring in information technology.
If you knew Tony at all, you already know that he was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan, he loved playing chess and more importantly, he was always a “dresser.” Tony liked to look his very best. He grew up attending the Church of God by Faith and also attended church in his latter years at Zion Sisters Baptist Church in Greenville.
At the time of Tony's death, he was employed with the Omni Plantation on Amelia Island as a maintenance worker and had previously been employed with Dawson Carpet Cleaning, IDS Alarm System and several others as IT support personnel.
Tony was preceded in death by his loving mother, Betty Dawson-Burch.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Stacey Latrice Jenkins-Burch of Kingsland; his children, Tone' Christopher Burch and Christiona Burch, both of Kingsland; his stepchildren, Kendria Pinckney (Randall) Days of Atlanta, Darious and Anthony Pinckney, both of Kingsland; his father, Lewis (Yvette) Burch Sr. of Kingsland; his sisters, LaTasha (Antonio Sr.) Mitchell and LaToya Burch, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Monica Burch of Orlando, Fla.; his brothers, Dexter (Tawanna) Burch of Valdosta, Lewis (Sabrina) Burch Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Terrell Burch of Kingsland; his maternal grandparents, Leroy (Dorothy) Dawson of Greenville; his close friends, Dundee Dilworth, Shannon Waye, Rodney Roundtree and Derrick Dawson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1365 Kinlaw Road in Woodbine.
