Deloris Mae Butler, 79, of White Oak passed away on Nov. 21, 2019, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
She was born on March 24, 1940, in White Oak to the late Theodore and LouVessie Cohen-Williams. Deloris was a member of Jerusalem No. 1 Church in White Oak and was employed at Thiokol as lead line person.
Deloris was preceded in death by both parents, Theodore and LouVessie Williams; a brother, Theodore Williams Jr. and two sisters, Ida and Ophinell Williams.
She leaves to mourn her passing, a loving husband of 61 years, Onie Lee Butler Jr.; her children, Alvin ( Alice) Butler of Woodbine, Roy Lee ( Pam) Butler Jr. of White Oak, Marvin (Larry) White Sr., Charles L. Butler and Jenean Baker, both of White Oak; two sisters, Loretta Kight of Woodbine and Carolyn Cohen of White Oak; five brothers, David (Sanae H.) Williams of White Oak, Lucious (Keisha) Williams of Folkston, Lawrence (Geraldine) Williams of Oneal, Fla., and Joe (Ollie Bell) Williams of White Oak; brothers-in-law, Arthur, Willie (Ethel), Clifton, Jimmie and Roosevelt Butler, all of White Oak. and Herman (Shirley) Short of Brunswick; sisters-in-law, Nora (Alonza) Gibbs, Irene Butler and Stella Butler, both of White Oak, Katie Brown and Sheila Butler, both of Woodbine; two godchildren, Roger Frazier of Kingsland and Annie Lee Baker of Woodbine; close friends, Minister Jesse Butler and Janie Bell Walker; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.
There will not be a wake. Remains will lie in state one hour prior to services on Friday. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 29, at Jerusalem No. 1 in White Oak. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
