Alice Sue Depratter Crews, 75, of Woodbine passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 7, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Nahunta, her parents were the late Ray and Vera Lee Cleland Depratter. She is also preceded by a daughter, Laurie Anne Wham, and a brother, Harry Depratter.
Alice retired from UGA as a home economist. She loved the Georgia Bulldogs, gardening, cooking and attended First Baptist Church of Woodbine where she was a treasurer and clerk for about 30 years and taught Sunday school at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Crews of Woodbine; a brother and sister-in-law, Alton and Arlene Depratter of Brunswick; a son-in-law, Jim Wham of Cocoa, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial services by the family will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at First Baptist Church of Woodbine with Dr. Clay Turner and Rev. Tim Rice officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodbine Building Fund, a project very close to her heart, at P.O. Box 296, Woodbine, GA 31569.
