Miriam Lorinda Cooksey Green, 53, of White Oak died Thursday, March 17, at her residence.

Lorinda was born in Oakland, Calif., and moved to Camden County in 1989. She graduated as salutatorian of her class at Bonifay High School. She went on to graduate from Florida State University. She was very active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Lorinda was a member of Woodbine United Methodist Church where she was a youth leader for several years.

Surviving are her parents, Clay and Betty Cooksey of Dothan, Ala.; husband, Mitch Green of White Oak; three sons, Tyler Bean (Kelly) of Woodbine, Kyle Bean (Ashley) of Woodbine and John Green of Charleston, S.C.; daughter, Whitney Lawrence of White Oak; sister, Darlene Farmer of Dothan; brother, Robert Cooksey (Marlena) of Dothan; two grandchildren, Hunter Lawrence and Ava Bean; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Woodbine United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Dent officiating.
