Sharon L. Hoevet, 74, of Kingsland passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Amelia Island, Fla.
Born Oct. 12, 1942 in Mankato, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Leona Ulman.
Sharon had resided in Camden County for the past nine years. She was a 1960 graduate of Janesville High School in Janesville, Minn., and held the title of 1960 Miss Madison Lake. She received her associate’s degree in arts at the Mankato State University in Minnesota and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in Austin, Minn.
While living in Mankato, Sharon was an active member of the Madison Lake German Club and a volunteer with Goodwill and The Salvation Army. She was a member of the Kingsland First United Methodist Church and member of the Silver Saints and Bible study groups.
Survivors include her son, Robert Hoevet of Kingsland; two daughters, Kristine Wolfe (Bill) of Baltimore, Md., and Becky Hoevet of Madison, Wisc.; and the love of her life, her only grandson, Zachary Hoevet.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Kingsland First United Methodist Church with Pastor Devon Schultz and Pastor Chip Strickland officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, one hour prior to services.
The family requests contributions in memory of Sharon L. Hoevet be made to the Kingsland First United Methodist Church food pantry.
