Frieda Faye Johnson, 52, of Kingsland died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at her residence.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. L.C. Green officiated with Chapman Funeral Home directing.
Born Feb. 21, 1963, in Eufaula, Ala., Ms. Johnson was the daughter of Carolyn Fay Robertson Miles. Mama Frieda, as she was known by many of her children’s friends, had been a sports team mother, Boy Scout pack leader, school volunteer and an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She enjoyed crafting, board games, puzzles and music.
She would always feed you when you visited her house. Most of all, she loved her children and family and always put them first in her life. She believed that laughter is the best medicine in any situation and tried to find humor in all of life’s struggles.
She has been called to heaven now as God wants her there, perhaps to bring some laughter to the heavens in these trying times. We will miss her here but know she had to go as God called another angel home.
She is survived by her mother; her son, Cody Johnson of Kingsland; her daughter, Sabrina Johnson of Kingsland; and her children’s father, Mike Johnson of Kingsland.
