Robert O. McCullers, 92, of St. Marys, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Mr. McCullers was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Mayo, Fla., and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. McCullers and Lilla Santerfeit McCullers. He was also preceded in death by his brother, L.T. McCullers.
Mr. McCullers had been a resident of Camden County since 1952. He was retired from Gilman Paper Company with 39 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and was always there for anyone who a needed helping hand. He loved the Woodbine Opry, and especially the dancing that he was well known for. Mr. McCullers was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Annie McCullers; children, Robert McCullers, Jr. (Goldie), Raymond McCullers (Brenda), Angela McCullers and Lisa McCullers Trey (Stewart); grandsons, Justin McCullers (Kellie), Josh McCullers (Amanda), Jordan McCullers, Erik Morris (Hannah), Kevin Morris (Haley), Stewart Trey and Jacob Trey.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Allison Memorial Chapel at with Erik Morris, Kevin Morris and Josh McCullers officiating. Burial to follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers are John Tyre, Harry Allen and Charles Bruce.
