Louise Ellabarger Moore, 93, of St. Marys died Thursday morning (Oct. 3, 2019) at Magnolia Manor in St. Marys after an extended illness.
Mrs. Moore was born in Kokomo, Ind., to the late Eldon C. Ellabarger and Ruth Echelbarger Ellabarger but had made St. Marys her home for the past 65 years. She worked for Gilman Paper Company in the payroll office for 28 years up until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist St. Marys where she was active in the Heaven Bound Sunday school class. Mrs. Moore was an active member of the St. Marys Garden Club and the very special gals group who played weekly games of cards and mahjong.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Ray Moore, and a sister, Jeannie E. Snitchler
Mrs. Moore is survived by her children, Patsy Lee Asson (husband David) of DeBary, Fla., Larry T. Lee (wife Thelma) of St. Marys, Phyllis Lee Courson (husband Johnny) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Lorraine Lee Harrison (husband Mike) of Woodbine; a sister, Mary Lindley; the Stinson family; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Allison Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family received friends beginning at noon at the funeral home. Brother Steve Kegley officiated.
