Hugh C. Pendleton, 84, of St. Marys, passed away July 2, 2019, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Born Feb. 12, 1935 in Groton, Conn., he was the son of the late Hugh and Kate Mary Newman Pendleton. He was also preceded in death by the love of his wife, Eva Mae Pendleton.
Mr. Pendleton had resided in Camden County for the past 25 years. He was retired from Westinghouse Electric with 33 years of service. He had also been employed with Farmers and Builders/Ace Hardware for 20 years and was known to all as the “The Tinker.” He was a member of the Camden Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country honorably during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his son, Robert H. Pendleton (Tamara), and sisters, Helen Spinato, Kay Midyette and Dianna Maliconico.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla., with pastor Ed Dixon officiating.
