Sherrel Suzette Spead, 54, of Kingsland passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, Sept. 28, 2018, at her home.
Sherrel was born Jan. 12, 1964, to the late Aldophus Roberts and Rosa Lee Jackson Roberts. She attended the public schools of Camden County and graduated from Camden County High School in the class of 1982.
Besides her father, those preceding her in death are her siblings, Shirley Roberts, Martha Ann Nealy, Richard Jackson and Jonathan Roberts.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Jerran Spead, Carol Spead, Christi Lewis and Keshia Adams; her lifelong companion, Jerome Baker; her mother, Rosa Lee Roberts of Kingsland; grandchildren, Jerran Spead Jr., Astraeus Pearson, Kai Spead, Alianna Lewis, Chris Lewis, Sydney Lewis, Charles Lewis and Shauntia Adams; great-grandchild, Jalana Adams; six sisters, Laverne Roberts of St. Marys, Nazerine VanPelt of Kingsland, Janice (Herman) Albertie of Sandhill, Fla., Velda Spead of Pensacola, Fla., Beverly Roberts of Kingsland and Miriam (Kevin) Broomfield of Kingsland; five brothers, Herman (Annette) Roberts of Sandhill, Fla., Nathan Roberts of Yulee, Fla., David Roberts of Harleyville, S.C., Darrell Roberts of Kingsland and Don (Gia) Roberts of Tampa, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Bernice Jackson of Eulonia and Faye Roberts of Kingsland; brother-in-law, James Nealy of Deland, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Georgia Avenue Church of God. A wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Kinlaw Cemetery.
