She was born Jan. 4, 1952, in Rumford, Maine, to Edward and Helen (Vienneau) Benjamin. She attended St. John's Catholic School and graduated from Rumford High School. Donna married Gary Paul Theriault on May 26, 1973, in Portland, Maine. She served as a Navy wife for more than 22 years. She spent time living in Maine, Connecticut, Washington, Georgia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Florida. She recently moved back to Kingsland with her husband when he retired in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years and her two children, Danielle Theriault Tuttle of Kingsland and Andrew Theriault of Winter Park, Fla.; two grandsons, Ethan and Luke Tuttle; brothers, David Benjamin (Ann) of Spofford, N.H., Tim Benjamin (Pat) of Inman, S.C., Paul Benjamin (Jean) of Rockland, Maine, Richard Benjamin (Ann) of Oak Grove, Mo., and Raymond Benjamin of Lisbon, Maine; and a sister, Debra Avena (Bruce Rajewski) of Griswold, Conn.
Donna enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her lilies. She loved traveling with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, reading and working on jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and she could be found every Saturday during the fall cheering on the Dawgs.
Her greatest pleasure in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She had a beautiful heart and has left behind a legacy of love. She will be missed by many and will live on in our hearts and memories.
