Edward Don Walker, 69, of Kingsland passed away at his home on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018.
Born Sept. 24, 1948, in Sayre, Okla., he was the son of the late Wilson Wright Walker and the late Ruby Faye Veal Walker. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Calvin Walker.
Mr. Walker had resided in Camden County for the past 31 years. After retiring from 20 years of service in the United States Navy, he was an insurance and investment agent, and business development director for United First Federal Credit Union. He loved traveling with family and wood working.
A celebration of Mr. Walker’s life will be held 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at the family home. The family requests that friends and family wear shorts and flip flops in honor of his preferred attire.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Walker should be made to a Humane Society or animal shelter of their choice.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann Walker of Kingsland; two sons, Kyle Walker of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jason Walker (wife Kristi) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Shea Walker, Evan Walker, Zoey Thomson, Madison Walker, Melanie Lizon (husband Eric); and great grandson, Carter Allen Lizon.
