Shantel L. Pullins was born on Nov. 25, 1974, to the late Joselyn Washington and Richard Spells Jr. in Brunswick.

Shantel was educated in the Camden County School System where she graduated with the class of 1994. She furthered her education by attending ITT Technical Institute, where she studied computer electronic engineering technology and earned her associate degree.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Ronell Pullins on June 27, 1997. Shantel was an employee of St. Simons by the Sea mental health clinic as a housekeeper. Shantel was a member of The River Cathedral of Camden. Shantel was full of joy. No matter what she faced or was going through, she brought laughter to everyone she came in contact with. Shantel transitioned from this mortal body into immortality on Saturday Sept. 11, 2021. Therefore, she has entered into the joy of the Lord.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Joselyn Washington and Richard Spells Jr; great grandparents, Curtis and Altermese Washington; a brother Richard “Buck” Spells III; her mother-in-law, Jean Pullins, and her sister-in-law, Cynthia Whitmire.

Those left to cherish her memories are a loving husband of 24 years, Ronell Pullins; a special and devoted sister, Olivia Jones, along with her niece Talia Jones (William); three sisters, LaQuanda Weldon (Lamont), Sharicka Scott and Dedra Reed; four brothers, Jamie Henderson (Genola), Roderick Spells (Melissa), Dexter Spells (Ashley) and George Scott (Jaimeyka); three uncles, Curtis Washington (Connie), Kevin Washington (Marie) and Elliot Washington; an aunt, Lynn Washington (Donald); her god brother, Calvin “Poopie” Wilson (Michelle) and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; her father in-law, Laverne Pullins Sr.; her sister-in-law, Renita Buckman; her brother-in-law, Laverne Pullins, Jr. (Harriette); her special friends, Dwayne Brown, Rayaltor Fulton, Althea and Shamicka, as well as other family and close friends.

A walk-thru viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17,  2021 at Allison Memorial Chapel, 10141 Colerain Road, St. Marys, GA 31558.

A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 18 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Weed Street, St. Marys, GA 31558.

Everyone planning to attend services is asked to wear masks and observe a safe social distance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Services will be live streamed at royalfuneralhomeinc.com beginning at 12 noon.
