Irene A. Schulz, 75, passed away in Folkston on June 21, 2020 after an extended illness.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late John C. and Lula Mae Parrish Anderson. She was a member of the Kingsland United Methodist Church.
Irene, a longtime Camden County resident was a customer service representative with TDS, retiring after many years of faithful service. She left behind many co-worker friends as well as numerous customer friends she served over the years. Irene was an outgoing, generous and talented person. She was a self-taught jewelry maker. At Christmas time, she decorated the TDS lobby as a Christmas winter land with many of her own beautiful decorations.
Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William E. Schulz; her brother, Carl (Andy) Anderson; and a sister, Carol Jones Bowman.
Survivors include her sister, Julia Rodeillat and brothers Marvin Jones and Lyle S. Carter as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend of over 50 years, Camay Howell and her friend Kay Kime, who was her helpmate for the past five years.
Irene was a one-of-a-kind individual and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
