Linda Kaye Shepherd, 76, of Kingsland died peacefully on Sept. 3, 2020, surrounded by family.

Ms. Shepherd was born on Dec. 16, 1943, in Texas to the late Horace and Virginia “Ginny” Moudy. 

Linda was a devout Christian and a loving mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to care for others in her nursing career and in retirement as a full-time caregiver to her grandchildren. She loved to bake and was renowned by family and friends for creating the most delicious desserts at every event. She was looked to by family and friends for advice and her natural-born ability to lead. She will be dearly missed by all who encountered her.

Ms. Shepherd is survived by her daughter, Carol (Larry) Turner of Woodbine; her sons, Dwayne Malson of Bakersfield, California, and Donald Malson of Woodbine; her brother, Rick Moudy of Allen, Texas; her grandchildren, Justin (Allison) Malson, Shane (Rebecca) Malson, Kameron (Megan) Malson, Courtney (Joshua) Darden, Hayden Malson, Hunter Malson, Lauren (Kyle) Bennett, Gage Mehl, Miranda Mehl, Nick Mehl, Luke Zachary and Dylan Zachary; and her great-grandchildren, Grant, Jaxon, Victoria, Max, Charlotte, Violet, Faye and Titan; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Moudy of Allen, Texas; and her special cousin, who was more like a sister, Patricia Bell of Brownsville, Texas. 

Besides her parents, she also joins her daughters-in-law, Patricia Malson and Alice Malson; her brother, Tony Moudy; her great-grandchildren, Holly, Austin and Roan; and her cousin-in-law, Keith Bell in Heaven. 

Funeral services for Ms. Shepherd will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Camden Baptist Church (725 Douglas Drive, St. Marys) with Pastor Edward Dixon presiding. Interment will be follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Justin, Shane, Kameron, Nick, Kyle and Hunter.
