Tommy Broward Thompson, 67, of Waverly passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 4, 2020, at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Waverly, his parents are Marguerite Keene Crum. He is also preceded in death by his father, Albert Wilson; a brother, Albert “Buckshot” Wilson; two sisters, Christine Thompson and Theresa Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Lawton Coleman.

Tommy was of the Christian faith and loved spending time with his family, raking the yards and watching football, racing and wrestling.

Survivors include his mother, Marguerite Crum (L.C. Richardson) of Waverly; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Dewanda “Gail” Sweat of Blackshear, Janet Coleman of Blackshear, Brenda Perry (Dennis) of Waverly and Marcy Lewis of Blackshear; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Horse Stamp Cemetery in Waverly with Rev. Roy King officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
