William Rabon “Plow Boy” Warren, 91, of St. Marys died Thursday evening, Aug. 27, 2020, at his son’s residence after an extended illness.

Plow Boy was a loving father, grandfather and was an all-around family man who enjoyed every minute spent with them.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Mosely Warren, and a daughter, Gwendolyn Louise Nance.

Mr. Warren is survived by his son, Lamar Warren (wife Carol) of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Richard Warren, Amy Coleman and Samantha Nance; four great-grandchildren, Gracie Conn, Stephen Warren, Emma Nance and Naomi Nance; a sister, Willene Douglas of Metter; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. James Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the church. Active pallbearers will be Richard Warren, Stan Mosely, Randy Mann, Ricky Wimpy, Stephen Warren, Roger Pate and Pete Sloan.
