Annual Taste of Camden is today
Taste of Camden, the Camden County Chamber’s signature event, is set for this evening at the College of Coastal Georgia in Kingsland.
Those who attend can sample local restaurant specialties, browse through booths and talk to professionals who work in the community. There are always free giveaways and samples available at many of the booths.
The event is held from 4-8 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door for adults and $7 for ages 5-17.
“There are many other examples of existing members who have expanded services or products and new businesses that a $12 ticket will buy great food — you don't have to cook dinner Thursday night — promotional giveaways and possibly win a door prize,” said Alison Shores, president of the Camden County Chamber of Commerce.
The restaurants that participate in Taste of Camden will compete for prizes in a variety of food categories and business booths will compete for awards based on their booth themes. Members also get to vote for their favorites.
“Taste of Camden is an event with a more than 20-year history and something no one should miss if they want to know what is really available in Camden County,” Shores added.
Major sponsors for the event include the Tribune & Georgian, TDS Telecom, Pineland Bank, Southeast Georgia Health System, Lakes Crossing, The Spine Center of Southeast Georgia and Georgia-Pacific.
