GBI investigating Kingsland man's death

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into a Kingsland man’s death after he was killed Sunday, Aug. 14, in a physical altercation.

Taylor Justin Williams, 26, was stabbed multiple times during an altercation that involved several people at a Kingsland residence, according to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation press release. Kingsland police officers responded initially then asked GBI at 2:42 a.m. to handle the death investigation.

“The exact circumstances surrounding Williams’ death is still being investigated,” according to the release. “When the investigation is complete, it will be turned over to the district attorney’s office for any action they deem appropriate.”

Kingsland Police Department has said that Williams’ death was an isolated incident.

All parties have been identified and have been contacted by Kingsland PD and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations,” according to a post on KPD’s Facebook page. “This is still an active case with GBI taking lead. Again, the surrounding area was not in immediate danger.
