JDA offers report to the community
Would you like to know more about Camden County's economic development efforts?
The board and staff of the Camden County Joint Development Authority will present a report to the community at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at the Center for Industry & Commerce (North Center) in Kingsland.
"We will review the past years progress and look ahead to economic development projects for 2018. Following the presentation there will be a reception in the atrium, where board members and staff will be available for questions and comments," said Teira Cole of the JDA.
The JDA is funded by the county government and includes appointees from the county and all three local city councils. Its members oversee countywide economic development projects and initiatives, such as the proposed St. Marys Marine Center, and work with developers to attract and retain local industry and commerce.
Monthly JDA meetings are open to the public, but are usually held on Friday mornings. This will be an opportunity to get an overview of their recent activities and future plans at an evening event.
