KPD investigating armed robbery

Detectives with the Kingsland Police Department are investigating after three men with guns robbed the Flash Foods at Five Points early Tuesday morning.

The clerk called 911 after the robbers left and an officer responded at about 3:45 a.m. She said that she had been mopping the bathroom when three men carrying guns and wearing masks came in.

“They told her to go to the front of the store and open the register,” according to the incident report. “(The victim) stated she did as they asked and after opening the drawer, they told her to go back to the bathroom and stay there.”

The robbers shut her in the bathroom and left. She waited a minute before coming out to call 911 and hit the panic alarm.

A surveillance camera caught the men coming out of the store. One man is about 6 feet 2 inches with a moderate build. He was wearing a cream long-sleeved shirt, gray sweatpants, black shoes, a black ski mask and carrying a semi-automatic rifle or a submachine gun.

The second is about 5 feet 10 inches with a slender build. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue pajama pants with a blue bandana over his face. His weapon wasn’t discernible.

The third man is approximately 5 feet 6 inches with a slender build. He was wearing blue shorts, a black long-sleeved shirt with white stripes down the arms and a red bandana over his face. He had a small silver handgun.
