Taste of Camden highlights businesses
Hometown teams are on the roster for the 2016 Taste of Camden, set for Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Camden Community Recreation Center in Kingsland.
This year’s expo theme is a nod to the traveling Smithsonian Institution’s art exhibit of the same name. Camden is an official stop on that tour.
“One key to strong economic growth is ensuring that the community knows what businesses and services are right here in their own back yard,” said Amy Hendricks, president/CEO of the Camden County Chamber of Commerce. “Taste of Camden provides that opportunity in a fun, informative and tasty setting.”
The Camden County Chamber of Commerce’s annual event will be held from 4-8 p.m. and features exhibits from a wide array of local merchants, professionals and organizations. Those who attend Taste of Camden can browse, shop and compare pricing and services in a pressure-free environment.
The expo also features an annual competition among restaurants, who will be serving up samples of their tastiest dishes. Awards also are given for Best Themed Booth and Best Overall Booth.
Registration is currently under way for Taste of Camden.
Local businesses have a unique opportunity to showcase their products and services to the hundreds of area residents who attend the popular annual event.
All paid booth registrations come with a table, two chairs and two vendor passes. Electricity is available at an additional charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sponsorships also are available for those who want added exposure for their business or organization. Sponsorship packages start at $500 and include premium booth placement and size, as well as the inclusion of a business logo on expo marketing materials.
Advance tickets, which are $5 for children ages 5-17 and $10 for adults, are available at the chamber office in downtown Kingsland, the Tribune & Georgian office in downtown St. Marys or the Kingsland Welcome Center near Interstate 95 Exit 3. Tickets will be $7 for youths and $12 for adults at the door of the event.
Tickets also may be reserved at the chamber website. For more information about the event, visit www.camdenchamber.com or call the chamber office at (912) 729-5840.
