Waycross man charged with soliciting juvenile
A Waycross man who works as a teacher and part-time law enforcement officer has been charged with soliciting a juvenile in Camden County.
Tracy Wayne Crosby, 42, was arrested Nov. 29 and charged with solicitation of sodomy, which is a misdemeanor. A felony charge of reckless conduct by an HIV-infected person was later added. Crosby is being held on a $150,000 cash bond.
Crosby is a teacher with the Ware County school system and a part-time law enforcement officer in a nearby county, according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The victim’s mother called the sheriff’s office after finding her 16-year-old son “having a sexual relationship” with Crosby on Nov. 28, according the release. She said the victim had left their house and didn’t fully explain where he was going. Crosby allegedly picked him up at some point and parked his car at the waterfront park in Woodbine. The victim’s mother found them there and alerted deputies.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be brought.
