Mrs. Barbara Ann Lynch-Adams, 82, of Woodbine passed away at her home May 23, 2018.
She was born on June 12, 1935, in Granville City, N.C., to the late Edgar and Louise Brogden. She graduated from high school in 1953. Barbara retired from South Eastern Bank. She was an avid gardener, seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She spent many years at the Woodbine Baptist Church and shaped many young minds as a preschool Sunday school teacher. Barbara enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She made cross country trips, including a trip to Alaska. Not only was Barbara devoted to her family, she also touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Ken) Gay of Nahunta and Sheree Lynch Brigman of Mount Holly, N.C.; her six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and her numerous nieces and nephews. Of her family by marriage, she has three stepsons, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband of 39 years, William Lynch; and later her second husband of 16 years, Vern Adams; her four brothers; and her sister.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, graveside at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine with Rev. Eddie Rawl presiding.
