Richard Jason Angel, 42, of St. Marys passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at St. Joseph Candler Hospital in Savannah.
Richard was born March 10, 1976, in Tamuning, Guam, and had been a resident of Camden County since 1982. He was a 1995 graduate of Camden County High School and served active duty in the United States Army from 1995 to 2001 and the Army National Guard from 2002 to 2011. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys with Bishop Jack Gross officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Interment will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
Survivors include his parents, Armando and Juanita Rosaria Angel of St. Marys; brother, Gerald Angel; sister, Amanda Angel Faleschini (Pete); niece, Isadora Faleschini; and three nephews, Sawyer Faleschini, Wyatt Faleschini and Asher Faleschini.
The family requests contributions in memory of Richard Angel be made to the diabetes foundation or American Lung Association.
