Three Lady 'Cats earn league honors

Though the season has concluded for the Camden County High girls soccer team, three players from the Region 3-AAAAA runner-up have earned all-league honors.

Coming off a convincing home shutout of Warner Robins in the state opener, CCHS absorbed a 6-0 second-round spill at Region 7 top seed North Atlanta last week to close the season 12-7.

From the Lady Wildcats, Sydney Crowley, a recent Kennesaw State signee, was selected Player of the Year, and teammates Brogan Boudreaux and Lizzie Blais also made the list of the conference’s best. With three honorees each, CCHS and Glynn Academy had the most selections from the south subregion.

Also receiving all-region recognition were Alex Houser (Glynn Academy), Mady Carroll (Glynn Academy), Allarah Dodd (Glynn Academy), Starr Robertson (Ware), Lizzie Shubert (Ware), Adiah Bailey (Brunswick), Xiomara Martinez (Coffee), Makala Nudo (Richmond Hill), Sabria Marquez (Richmond Hill), Anna Petrino (Richmond Hill), Logan Martin (Richmond Hill), Sydney Martinez (Effingham), Molly Boone (Effingham), Makenzie Stewart (Effingham), Mika DeAsis (Statesboro), Alexis Costlow (Statesboro), Madisen Thornton (South Effingham) and Elizabeth Hedrick (Bradwell Institute).
