Loretta Brown, of White Oak passed away at her residence on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020.

Mrs. Loretta Brown was born on Sept. 23, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Brown; the mother of Vincent Williams and the late Curtis Williams; grandmother of Christopher Williams and Tamika Williams; and sister-in-law of Louise Brown and the late Lydia Brown.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Green. She was also the coordinator of the food distribution with 4-C Mission Food Bank of Camden County. Mrs. Brown was a dedicated community leader who sponsored the monthly food distribution in her community. She worked diligently in her church and was always willing to assist her family, friends and neighbors. An incredible void has been left in the White Oak community because of the passing of Mrs. Loretta Brown. 

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: son, Vincent (New York); her grandchildren, Christopher (New York) and Tamika (New York); her sister-in-law, Louise (North Carolina); a host of devoted nieces and nephews; an adopted niece, Patricia Washington (Sprawley) who was a caring friend and neighbor;  her Godson, Brendon Gordan (Alabama); her former daughter-in-law, Angela Arrington (New Jersey); a special friend, Tonia Thames (New York); and a host of other relatives and friends.  

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
