Deborah Lynn Colonna Holt, 65 of Kingsland, affectionately known as "Nana" entered into her heavenly home in the early morning hours on Aug. 17, 2021 at Southeast Ga Health System — Camden Campus.

Debbie was born at Nassawadox, Virginia, on July 2, 1956, to the late Robert and Virginia Thornton of Wachapreague, Virginia. Later in life, Debbie moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where she met, fell in love and married the love of her life, Robert. They were married on Virginia Beach at sunrise on April 28, 1994. After living in Virginia Beach for 15 years, Bob and Debbie decided to move to Kings Bay, where Bob had previously retired from the Navy.

In late 2009 they moved to Kingsland to be closer to their grandchildren. True to custom, Debbie loved spoiling her grandchildren. She lived for them and loved them unconditionally. It was evident to anyone, when any grandchild or great-grandchild came together, the music and smiles on their faces told the story. Leanna, Michael, Jr., Alan, Michael, Owin, Colten, Ariella and EmmaLynn all adored their Nana and loved spending time with her. Her life revolved around her grandchildren.

Debbie was a managing partner for Lighthorse Psychiatry in St. Marys. She took exceptional care of her parents to ensure they had their appointments when they were needed and any required meds. She was a selfless individual who would always put others' needs before hers. She would go without to help others.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Bob, of 27 years; her sons, Michael S. Beach of Columbus and Albert L. Beach (Jaclyn) of Nottingham, Maryland, and son and daughter-in-law, Rob Holt (Monica) of Kingsland; brothers, Robbie Thornton (Marlene), Timmy Thornton (Wendy) and Scotty Thornton of Richmond, Virginia; a sister, Eva Truitt (Michael) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Leanna Hitchings, Michael Beach Jr., Alan Holt, Michael Holt, Owin Myers, Colten Beach and Ariella Beach; and great-grandchild, EmmaLynn Marie Hitchings.

A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27 at Allison Memorial Chapel with pastor Chip Strickland officiating.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
