Joseph Bernard Johnson departed this earthly rim to live in the heavenly bosom of our Lord and Savior, Dec. 26, 2021.
Joseph was born April 5, 1958, in New York, New York. He finished his education there, then along with his first cousin, Enoch Johnson, came to Kingsland, his family’s ancestral home. He worked for Gilman Paper Company for over 10 years, but his love was for the special need adults that he worked with for many years. His final workplace was at the Hawthorn Suites, Kingsland.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted mother, Sylvia Johnson Townsend from Kingsland and New York, New York; two brothers, Ronald and Michael; his first cousins and closest of family, Enoch Johnson and Linda Marrow; two stepsisters, Leora and Margaret Townsend; three nephews and one niece, Marlon Lawrence and Jeffrey Patterson of Kingsland and St. Marys, and Tyrone Townsend and Razelle Townsend of New York, New York; one uncle, Oscar Morris of Kingsland, and two aunts, Lauris and Carol from New York, New York; three dependable best friends, Viola Lewis, Lola Medlin and Carol Brown; special best friends, Mark Smith, Demetrius Wilson and Ed Cook; and a host of other friends and a wide circle of acquaintances.
