Stephanie Lynn Joyce, 51, passed away at her home on Feb. 3, 2022, in St. Marys. She was born on March 25, 1970 to Bill and Kathy Joyce at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

Stephanie is survived by her two precious boys, Camden and Rhett Potts of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who she loved more than anything; parents Bill and Kathy; brother Marty Joyce (Tonya) and their children, Madison, Evelyn and Christian (Emily) Joyce; great-nephew, Ryland; her loving partner, Eric Steins; Aunt Rhetta and Uncle James Parrott; and cousins Robbie Nettles (Shannon), Valinda (Bob) McKeon, Kristin Joyce, Lonnie Joyce and Richie (Alysia) Parrott. Stephanie never met a stranger and is survived by countless close friends and family members.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Gladys Joyce, and Lucille and Bob Stephenson; her Uncle Marlon Joyce and his daughter Emily Joy; and her Aunt Shirley Hardcastle.

Stephanie could light up any room with her smile, eyes and infectious laugh. She loved all things glitz and glitter, had the pageant wave down and knew how to wear a crown. And boy, could she make an entrance and turn heads! It was never a timely entrance though. If you knew her, you know she was never on time to anything. Her dad loves to joke that Stephanie still carries the Camden County High School record for the most tardies ever incurred by one student, at 187!

From CCHS’s Class of 1988 Miss Wildcat to a Damn Good Dawg, there was no bigger fan of the Georgia Bulldogs than Stephanie. She also had the biggest, most forgiving heart, clear of judgement and filled with such compassion and love for others. Stephanie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service officiated by Martin Turner will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb 9 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Burial at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland will immediately follow the service.

Allison Memorial Chapel is overseeing the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to her boys’ trust account at a local bank. More details to follow.
