MORGAN – Nella "Nell" Faye Morgan, 81, of Kingsland, Ga., passed away at her residence July 19, 2022.
Nella was born July 14, 1941, to Aaron M. and Minnie P. Melton in Waycross, Ga. She was the first graduating class of Ware County High School in 1959. She attended Brunswick Junior College and graduated from the Adult Education Center in 1980. Nella was a volunteer for the American Society and served on the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon committee from 2003-05, and was a member of Satilla Management Club as secretary for four years. She was a member of Kingsland First Baptist Church and Sunday School and joined the church in 1981. In her early years, she worked for Haynes Grocery, Shoe Factory and then went to work for Union Carbide Chemical Company in 1981 until retirement from Bayer CropScience in 2006.
She is survived by her children, John Morgan II, James B. Morgan and Janice O'Neal (Dale); sister, Jeanette Hersey (Curtis); and granddaughter, Amber Morgan.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby Thrift, Flemon Melton, Pearl Tatum, Lucille Haynes, Mitchell Melton, Cecil Melton, Linzy Melton and Eugene Melton.
