WILLIAMS – Patricia Peterson Williams, 93, of St. Marys, Ga., passed away April 14, 2022, at UF Health North in Jacksonville, Fla.

Patricia was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Ailey, Ga., to the late Julian and Georgia Belle Peterson. She lived her younger life in Ailey. She got her associate’s degree at Brewton-Parker College. In 1947, she married Ralph Emmett Williams Sr. and moved to Vidalia, Ga. In 1959, they moved to St. Marys, Ga., and were married for 66 yrs. She was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the church. She was also active in Gilman Hospital Auxiliary, and she worked as a bookkeeper for Williams Pharmacy. She loved playing Canasta, fishing, going to the beach and going to Lake George. Patricia was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved being around her family.

She is survived by her son, Ralph E. Williams Jr. (Aleesa) of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; daughter, Susan Yarizadeh (Frank) of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Danielle Blanchard (Billy), Cameron Williams, Brett Moore (Chasta), Deanna Yarizadeh and Dennis Yarizadeh; and great-grandchildren, Mila, Jolie and Saylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph E. Williams Sr.; and three grandchildren, A.J. DeMeza, Dylan Williams and Daniel Yarizadeh.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the St. Marys United Methodist Church with Roy White officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Williams, Brett Moore, Frank Yarizadeh, Roy Butler, Billy Blanchard and Ron Anderson.
