Tina Louise Sutton, 57, St Marys departed from this life, on Feb. 15, 2022, comforted by her family's loving embrace.

Tina was born the youngest of three children, in Tacoma, Washington, on July 24, 1964, to Melvin and Charlotte Musgrove. She spent many of her childhood years traveling in Europe with her military father, her mother and her siblings. She never lost her love for adventure.

Tina was an accomplished nurse for 25 years, beginning her career at St. Marys Senior Care Center. She later found her calling working in mental health care as an LPN, until she retired in 2013. She was compassionate about her work and deeply empathetic to her patients. Tina also proudly trained with the Navy Reserves.

Tina had a sense of humor that could bring light into any room. Tina loved to sing and dance, and could find a song for every occasion. She believed in building a world of acceptance and inclusivity. Tina set an example of strength for her daughter and community, by repeatedly overcoming the odds. Tina enjoyed shopping, watching movies, playing board games, traveling, and spending time with her "fur-babies.”

Tina is survived by her parents, Charlotte and Melvin Musgrove; her daughter, Ashley Flanders (Austin); her sister, Carrie Proffitt (Joe); and her brother, David Musgrove; nephews Dennis Casey, Chris Casey and Johnathan Musgrove (Holli); several great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many cousins. She is predeceased by her life partner, Valerie McMullen; niece, Jennifer Musgrove; and grandparents, Willis and Carrie Mae Musgrove and Leon and Anna Grace Merrick.

Tina's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at Allison Memorial Chapel. Her family invites attendees to wear purple, her favorite color, in celebration of her shining life.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
