Nancy A. Wood, 77, of St. Marys passed away at her residence on March 26, 2022.
Nancy was born on Nov. 22, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Alvin and Irene Wood. She had worked for CSX railroad doing clerical work. She has been living in St. Marys for the past 15 years, moving here from Macclenny, Florida. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, enjoyed collecting birdhouses, bears and loved her online shopping. Her family was everything to her and she enjoyed spending time with all of them.
Survivors are her children, Wendy Creppel of St. Marys and Billy "Jody" Pittman (Meredith) of Orange Park, Florida; a sister, Alice White (who was more than that, she was her best friend) from Astatula, Florida; grandchildren, Bethany Pittman, Brooke Longstreet (Chris), Taylor Creppel and Zach Hickman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Allison Memorial Chapel with Zane Owens officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, American Cancer Society or Camden House.
