Camden County agrees to sponsor replacement airport
According to the county's agenda packet, GDOT “is holding $4,512,634.21 in funds from the Department of Defense (U.S. Navy) for the use on the construction of a replacement airport in Camden County.” (illustrative photo)
Camden County Board of Commissioners formally agreed this week to sponsor a new general aviation airport, an idea that has been under discussion since the closure of the St. Marys Airport in 2017.
