A sign outside the National Park Service’s St. Marys office has a closed sign. Because of the federal government shutdown, Cumberland Island is also not open.
The day before the federal government shutdown, National Park Service staff at Cumberland Island National Seashore posted on Facebook that the ferry schedule was changing.
