Masons trace historic steps, re-enact Washington funeral
Last Saturday, The St. Marys Masonic Lodge No. 109 conducted a reenactment of George Washington’s memorial service from 1800, transporting a symbolic coffin from the St. Marys waterfront.
More than 200 years ago, the citizens of St. Marys gathered to honor George Washington and the contributions and sacrifices he made to get the United States on its feet.
