Submarine tests Trident missiles in Atlantic Ocean
An unarmed Trident II D5 Life Extension missile launches from an Ohio-class ballistic submarine off the coast of Florida.
The U.S. Navy conducted four Trident II D5LE missile test flights from an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine in the Atlantic Ocean last week, according to a news release from the U.S. Navy.
