Accomplishments/Honors: Licensed esthetician; published MUA.

Community Involvement: I currently run a Military Spouse page called Black Military Spouses of Kingsbay. We help assist black, Indigenous and people of color with resources and support in the area.

Why did you go into your particular field? I was already a makeup artist and wanted to take my career to the next level and help my make up clients with their skin.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I honestly wanted to be a lawyer because I love a great debate. But anything where I could service/help people.

What was your first job? I worked at Wendy’s as a cashier.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? To T.H.I.N.K before you speak. It it’s not: Thoughtful, Helpful, Intelligent, Necessary and Kind, then don’t say it!

What’s your favorite thing about your job? Getting to meet so many people and hear their story and connect and listen to them, while making them feel good about their skin and body.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you first started your career? Do not rush! Your time will come.

Who do you consider to be your greatest mentor and why? Honestly I don’t have one particular person at the moment, but all of the business owners within the Camden County Chamber of Commerce have been very supportive and informative with me since I joined. It’s a great support system I’m glad I have as a resource.

When you’re not at work, what do you do to relax? I love chasing my 5-year-old around and catching up on the latest teenage lingo with my oldest son.

What is something about you that most people don’t know? I was in the Miss Okefenokee pageant my senior year of high school in 2006.

How do you hope to grow in your career? Right now, I want to continue to use my business to help grow other small businesses within the community. I would love to expand with more suite rental for other young professionals.

If you couldn’t do what you’re doing now, what would you be doing? Possible interior design. I love transforming spaces.
